ITINERARY
Total assistance when you arrive to the Imperial City of Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Free time to rest, relax and get acclimatized to the altitude.
In the afternoon, City Tour of Cusco; we pick you up from your hotel at about 13:00pm and proceed to visit the Qorikancha or Sun Temple (today known as the Santo Domingo complex). We continue outside the city to visit Qenko, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, and the biggest Inka temple complex, Sacsayhuaman, built strategically atop a hill overseeing Cusco (being the head of the puma), famous for its enormous carved stones assembled with great precision that it’s stunning to your eyes. Some of these huge stones exceeds the 9 meters of height and weighs more than 120 tons.
Return to your hotel at about 18:30pm. Lodging in your hotel.
Our excursion starts with the hotel pick up at about 08:00am, then boarding our private tourist bus bound for the valley, in this ride we will appreciate picturesque towns with a marvellous flora and fauna which you can’t miss out. Our first stopover will be the typical Qorao town market, a place where you can take advantage to purchase local utilitarian handicrafts at good budget offers which are sold by the artisans themselves, after that we continue with our tour until we reach to our second stopover at the Taray Lookout, an excellent place to take postal pictures of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas, after that we will be visiting the Pisaq Archaeology Zone, a place where you can see the immense cultivation terraces as though the biggest Inka cemetery with their tombs profaned by the grave robbers, and after that we will be driving along the Urubamba (Vilcanota) river banks, and at about 13:40pm we will have our Buffet lunch in a restaurant of the Urubamba Valley. After that, we will be visiting the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, an Inka military, religious and administrative center, considered to be the general Ollanta dwelling. After this we will go to the train station, to take the 19:00pm service back to Cusco, arriving there at about 20:45pm. When we arrive to Cusco, we will be accompanied by our staff member to take you to your hotel.
Breakfast.Hotel pick up at 06:00am and transfer to the CONSETTUR bus station, to then take the bus which will take us up on a 25-minute ride along a zigzagging road to the Inka citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we get our guided tour for 2 hours and 30 minutes in the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, visiting the most important points such as: the Main Square, cultivation terraces, the Temple of the Sun, the Inti Watana, the sacred temples, the imposing Temple of the Three Windows, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, among others. After the guided tour, you will have a free time to walk around the archaeological complex at your own pace.
In the afternoon, return to the town of Aguas Calientes to catch the train service back to Cusco at 18:20pm. Our staff will await for you at the Ollantaytambo train station to transfer you back to Cusco, arriving at the city at about 22:10pm. Lodging in your hotel.
Breakfast. At the fixed time, transfer from your hotel to the Airport. Farewell by our staff from the beautiful immortal city of the Imperial Cusco.
