TOUR TO THE RAINBOW MONTAIN FULL DAY

Cusco – Cusipata – Chirihuani – Fulawasi – Mountain of Seven Colors

ITINERARY:

The adventure begins very early at 04:30am. Then we will start by picking you up from your hotels until about 05:00am, then we go to the picturesque village of Chirihuani of the district of Cusipata (Quispicanchi province) to the south of the city of Cusco, a place where we will make a stopover to supply ourselves of some sundries necessary to start the trek like water or energizer beverages, snacks, cereal bars, etc.

Finally, at the end of this short stop, we will go on with our tour where we will see the multicolored landscapes mixing with agricultural crops intertwined among the mysterious snowcaps and mountains, Andean animals like the llama, alpaca, vicuña and sheep grazing over the deep valleys down below. We will reach at about 07:30am to the picturesque village of Chirihuani, here we will enjoy of our very delicious and hearty Andean breakfast prepared by our Chef.

Then after we return to our private minibus to travel to Fulawasi. Starting point of our trek, we will begin our hike for about 1 HOUR and 30 MINUTES, uphill until we reach to the slopes of the RED VALLEY (Vinicunca hill), an access point to this mystical place.

We will walk by a path that little by little will be changing the landscapes among mountains of intense colors and small iced water streams which feed and give life to this valley, gradually when we walk we will see how the colors of nature surrounding us start changing by the weather, we will reach to a height of 5,200 m.a.s.l., the top of the mountain of 7 colors (Vinicunca).

This will be the point where we will have enough time to take snapshots, videos, photos, etc. At the same time this would be the place where we enjoy with our snack time while our sight delights with the magic enclosing the mountains behind its veil of clouds and snowcapped peaks, after this so rich experience we will walk back returning to Chirihuani, where our private minibus will be waiting for us and then continue onto the village of Fulawasi, where we will have a very delicious Buffet lunch prepared by our cook, later we will return back to Cusco, arriving about 17:00pm, in this way we are finishing with the trek to the Mountain of 7 Colors.
